Monday 11th May : Saltom pit guided walk  

Meet in Haig mining museum car park at 6.15pm

Tuesday 19th May : Harrington Iron industry walk

Meet at Harrington Harbour at 6.15pm

Sunday 24th may : European neighbours day - Steam up day - Haig Mining museum 

Meet at Haig mining museum 

Haig mining museum will also be having a Steam up day with the winding engine running and hot drinks available too from 9-4.

Sunday 21st June : Ennerdale guided walk

Guided walk by National Trust and Lake District National Park Authority, free to attend. Call the office for details 01946 810 910

Sunday 12th July : 700ft Charity Zip line

Organised by the Anthony Nolan Trust to raise money for research into Leukaemia. 150 participants need to gain sponsorship in order to take the challenge.

July 26th SUnday : Festival of the wind.

Kite making and flying around the rugby pitch near Haig mining museum.

September 19th Saturday : Beach watch weekend.

A good walk from St Bees to Whitehaven collecting debris from Fleswick bay on route. A good level of fitness is required along with a packed lunch and good footwear.

Meeting at Whitehaven train station approx 9.30, 10.15 at St Bees car park, exact times to be confirmed. Approximate time needed 4-5 hours, Contact Chris on 07785 22 66 98

 

November 5th Thursday : Bonfire night lantern workshop and parade.

Making lanterns to light the way to your bonfires. Meeting at 4-7pm at St Marys Social Club, Kells Cost £1.50 per lantern, contact Chris on 07785 22 66 98
